The Opportunity

The Supply Chain Manager North America will lead, and manager continuity of supply, increased contribution and improved communications are the objectives of the role, along with managing key aspects of the supply chain, from origin through to inventory, and from contract negotiation through to material receipt. Coordinate with global sourcing, ensure the sustainable supply of raw materials to the business. This is a key role which will allow its occupant to manage, develop and motivate procurement professionals as well as identify new ways of working. You will be responsible to collaborate, communicate, create efficiencies, and innovate with Treatt team members and stakeholders, supporting Treatt North America.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and finance to ensure supply chain goals support business growth.
• Ensure continuity of supply from a sustainable and approved supply base.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations.
• Supervise and coordinate with Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, & Import/Export teams.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks and constraints
• Maintain optimal stock levels based on safety stocks and crop seasonality.
• Analyze inventory to manage high-risk raw materials in line with departmental KPIs.
• Engage with suppliers and attend industry events, including international travel.
• Monitor global market conditions and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Deliver strategic savings through value-added initiatives.
• Develop departmental SOPs and enhance systems-based purchasing processes.
• Analyze category spend performance to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Strengthen key supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Challenge traditional practices to foster continuous improvement.
• Deliver presentations to various business audiences.
• Promote a culture of health, safety, and food safety.
• Oversee logistics to ensure timely product delivery.
• Implement Kaizen methodologies for operational efficiency.
• Utilize SAP ERP systems for supply chain management and reporting.
• Drive process improvement projects to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure quality materials sourcing.
• Apply expertise in inventory control, logistics optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills for effective decision-making and collaboration.

Education & Training

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, procurement, business or closely related field.
• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

• 7 Years of experience managing supply chain in the food and beverage industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to cultivate strong business relationships.

• Supply Chain Software Proficiency – Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and inventory management tools.
• Data Analysis & Forecasting – Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and predict demand using tools like Excel, Power BI, or SQL.
• Logistics & Transportation Management – Understanding of shipping, warehousing, distribution, and freight management.
