Thirteen members of staff at flavour and fragrance ingredients company Treatt have achieved nationally-recognised NVQ Level 2 qualifications, in Performing Manufacturing Operations and Warehousing & Storage.
They have been working towards NVQs relevant to their roles at the Bury St Edmunds-base firm over the past 12 to 18 months, with the process requiring the application of knowledge in a range of work activities and involving in-depth workbooks and a portfolio of evidence.
Ben Nolan, Martyn Hunt, Gary Potter, James Smith, Nick Copeman, Roman Lagowski, Colin Buckle, Darren Hannam and Steve Wells received Level 2 diplomas for Performing Manufacturing Operations, which has given them the knowledge and understanding of common manufacturing methods, along with a grasp of safe working practices.
Steve Graber, David Bugg, Steve Dimon and Robert Wood were awarded Level 2 certificates for Warehousing and Storage, helping them to become more effective in their roles and giving them an understanding of fundamental logistics practices.
Treatt’s group chief executive, Daemmon Reeve, who presented the certificates at a special lunch event, said: “I am extremely proud of the hard work and achievements of our staff. It is great to see them expand their skills and receive a qualification at the end of it.”
