Bury St Edmunds flavourings and ingredients company Treatt are taking over the running of the St Nicholas Hospice Shop on May 12 – transforming it into a coffee and chocolate shop for the day.
Treatt have joined forces with their new Northern Way neighbours, family chocolatiers Marimba, to host the event at the Barton Road shop.
A chai hot chocolate has been specially developed alongside Treatt for the event as well as limited edition chocolate truffles using Treatt’s flavourings.
Claudia Brackenborough from Treatt, said: “This is the first time we’ve done something like this and everyone is really excited about it.
“There’s a real buzz among the staff here because we all know we’re going to be helping such a good cause.”
Coffee will be provided by local coffee roasters Frank and Earnest.
To make as much money as possible for the charity, Treatt are holding a grand draw with prizes including a ZenPad Tablet, a £500 travel voucher, champagne and an Investec Test Series cricket bat signed by the England and New Zealand players.
Claudia added: “The prizes donated by local businesses and our suppliers have been phenomenal and we have been truly amazed by their generosity.
“Brad and Katherine at Marimba have been so supportive, which is going to make it a fantastic day.
“We can’t wait.”
Brad Wright from Marimba said: “We are excited to get involved in this event. It’s creating such a sense of community with everybody getting on board and it’s for such a good cause. We are sure that it’s going to be a great day.”
Treatt are also offering the chance to have your car washed while you have a coffee.
