For the six months ended 31 March 2004

Treatt PLC, the manufacturer and supplier of flavour and fragrance ingredients, primarily from essential oils, announced today their interim results for the six months ended 31 March 2004.

Summary

Group turnover down by 1% to £15,073,000 (2003: £15,216,000)
Treatt USA turnover increased by 54%
EBITDA lower by 3% to £1,363,000 (2003: £1,409,000)
Profit before tax for the period was £792,000 (2003: £955,000)
Group borrowings down by £1.5 million, gearing down to 18% (2003: 31%)
Interim dividend unchanged at 2.7p (2003: 2.7p)
